Let me introduce myself...

Hi!

Thank you for stopping by and perusing the Nourishing Practices website and blog.

My name is Heidi Gill and I help women restore balance to their bowel movements and reconnect with their belly so that they can feel their best.

For years I struggled with chronic constipation. Trips to the bathroom could take up to 30 minutes (or longer), where painful and not always productive. It is REALLY difficult to feel your sexiest self when you are distended and uncomfortable because you haven’t pooped in a week or more.

Attempting to get relief and be “healthy,” I would eat high fiber cereals for breakfast, a sandwich on whole grain bread for lunch and a Metamucil cookie for an afternoon snack. Enemas and stool softeners were regularly used as band-aids when things got too far out of control.

This feels like TMI, but I know there are tons of women out there suffering from the same issues and would love some relief. Constipation is a thing that is now in my past and I am here to help you navigate your way to bathroom trips that are quick and efficient.

Proper bowel function is something that is not reestablished over night. And often it takes a multiple strategy approach. So here at Nourishing Practices, we use physical movement, abdominal massage, stress management, curiosity and an open mind around food intake to find the protocol that works for you. If, after lifestyle practices have been made, there is still a need for improvement, supplements will be recommended.

How you can work with me:

  • Virtual education and coaching calls. To schedule a call, visit the booking site on Vagaro. (You will be redirected to another website.) If you are looking for more information and want to talk in person, book a “Discovery Call.”

  • If you are in the Jackson, MS area,a limited number of abdominal massage appointments are available each month. You must fill out an application to make sure we are a good fit before scheduling an appointment. To apply, please email heidigill@live.com.
